The Importance Of Music In Our Lives

11/04/2026

Music is, was and will continue to be something frequent in basically everyone's life, want it or not. And just like any other form of art it has a meaning, which is not only what the author intended it to be, but what you make of it. We could use Valentine by Laufey as an example. It didn't have quite a meaning for me, I didn't "Blink and suddenly had a valentine", until I did. And the song clicked, it made sense, it meant more than it could ever. It became an extention of how I could express how I was feeling at the time. Music pretty much is about that: Expressing yourself, expressing your love, your sadness, how you stand politically, causes you're passionate about, cheering something good, criticizing something or someone.

Freddie Mercury, born on September 5th 1946 was the lead singer of Queen. Even though he died about 35 years ago, on November 24th 1991, he means everything to me. At every moment in my life I have a memory envolving Queen. Listening to You're My Best Friend as a 6 year old, sharing We Will Rock You with my friends (and recording a video siging it) on third grade at 9 years of age, having my favourite Queen albums downloaded on my first ever (and only) iPhone at 13, attempting to record Queen songs covers it to my former girlfriend at 16. It's always been there, it's become a part of me, something I love to bits and something that inspired me to start learning keyboard and singing, it's influenced how I talk, how I want to dress, how I want to pursue my career. I don't have nearly enough words to logically explain what it means to me, so I'm just typing out words my heart asks, and if it isn't a big enough point to prove how important music can be to someone, I don't know what proves it.

This is a simple and not very developed text and it was written just so I have whatever content on this website. Actual good articles coming soon.
